Traveling with your pet
Pet-friendly travel has changed so much over the years! We can speak from experience of the days when pet friendly rooms were NOT top notch and very expensive! Current trends now have many upscale inns and bed and breakfasts offering luxurious lodging, top-notch amenities for the humans and delicious dog treats for the beloved pets.
Expanding your revenue base
if you are looking to expand your revenue and have rooms with private entrances, you may want to consider adding some pet friendly lodging at your bed and breakfast or inn. Covid has more and more families bringing home puppies and adopted animals and with a huge pent up demand for traveling, there are sure to be many travelers looking for comfortable destinations that they can enjoy with their beloved pets.
Both of our former properties were Select Registry and they recently added a pet friendly tab to their web site where you can search for deluxe pet friendly rooms and be assured of the quality of your stay. Palmer House Inn in Falmouth does a great job of promoting their pet friendly accommodations which you can check out here. We also experienced and can speak first hand of the comfortable pet friendly rooms at our favorite inn in Asheville, The Inn on Montford.
Homemade amenities for your pet friendly rooms
We recently had a four legged guest stay at our home in Hendersonville that kept Harrison company for the past week. I decided to make them some treats and was pleased with the results of these easy to make Milk Dog Bones. If you decide to add some pet friendly rooms at your inn or if you are looking for a special treat for your four legged loved ones, this recipe will not disappoint.
